The game
The Murray State women’s basketball team travels to Alabama A&M Saturday in search of their first road win of the young season. Notice from the brand new AAMU Events Center in Normal is scheduled for noon.

The Racers are 9-4 all-time against Alabama A&M and 3-3 in Normal. The Racers slipped away last season with a 66-40 win at Murray in two games against the Bulldogs. Murray State last played at Alabama A&M during Real gymnasts‘s first season with the Racers in 2017-18. The Bulldogs won that meet, 71-54, in Murray State’s recent visit to historic TM Elmore High School.
Exploring the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs enter the season 0-4 Saturday after falling 66-48 in Florence on Tuesday night in North Alabama.

Murray State currently has two of the top active free-throw shooters in Division I based on career percentage. Macey Turley is currently second among active players with a career free throw ratio of 88.9 while Katelyn Young is seventh with 86.0.
Admission of new members?
With two current racers (Macey Turley and Katelyn Young) already members, the Murray State 1,000-Point Club could soon expand. Alexis Burpo currently has 908 career points and needs just 92 to become the 22nd racer to join the elite club.

That new gym smell
After nearly 50 seasons at TM Elmore High School, a new era begins for Alabama A&M Saturday. After saying goodbye to Elmore vs Samford on Nov. 17, the Bulldogs will play their first game at the new AMMU Event Center against the Racers on Saturday.
