Jackson State has once again dominated FCS in average attendance, attracting over 42,000 fans in the 2022 season (through 11/19 games). Last year, JSU set a subdivision record averaging 42,293 fans at home.
Other well-known names are also at the top.
Montana’s average attendance increased from 24,584 last year to 25,298 in 2022. Montana State’s increased from 19,176 to 21,275.
NDSU has seen a decline in attendance for a number of years from 18,106 in 2018 to 17,440 in 2019 to 15,101 in 2021. But the bison rose again to 17,309 in 2022.
