Here are today’s top stories from Bedford:

  1. New pets in animal shelters in our area are looking for a loving home this holiday season: Meet Roxie, a short haired cat who is recovering from a complicated spay and neuter. This cute kitten needs time to regain strength, so households with small or active children or other pets are not ideal for them. She is looking for a supportive home. 2. If your child loves Transformers, Hasbro is collaborating with Segway-Ninebot on new Transformer-themed scooters and go-karts. They are based on the popular characters “Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Decepticon Leader Megatron”. A recent publication revealed that the special limited edition scooters and go-karts are available in China, the US and Canada. Segway was founded by Bedford’s Dean Kamen. (PR Newswire)
  3. Thanksgiving weekend is the perfect time to register your home for the 3rd Annual Southern NH Tour of Lights. Bedford residents are encouraged to decorate their homes with festive lights and decorations as part of a 13-city holiday collaboration involving Merrimack and our surrounding communities. After decorating, “register your address with the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department no later than Monday, December 5 to be included on the official list of homes on the Southern New Hampshire Tour of Lights.” (All events)
