Adams and Pellegrino pick up NFHCA All-Northeast Region Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Brown first graders Lucy Adams and Lexi Pellegrino added to their decorated fall campaigns with NFHCA All-Northeast honors.

Adams was awarded First Team All-Northeast while Pellegrino was awarded Second Team All-Northeast.

The Brown duo are two of 32 NFHCA recognized student-athletes. There are seven Ivy athletes on the All Northeast teams.

Adams joins a trio of Harvard Crimson athletes on the first team and does so after starting all 17 games on College Hill this fall. The Andover, Massachusetts native ranked second on the team in goals (5) and points (15). Her five assists tied for third place.

Adams was one of six Bears to start all 17 games that fall. Notably, she picked up points in seven straight games mid-season, scoring and assisting in Brown’s 2-0 win at Dartmouth.

Pellegrino snags a spot on the second team along with one from Dartmouth and Harvard. A native of Westwood, Massachusetts, she led the team in goals (10) and points (24) in 2022 and scored at least a point in her first nine collegiate games. She scored in seven consecutive games during the stretch and capped the goal run with back-to-back game winners over Sacred Heart and Dartmouth.

Pellegrino ranked ninth in the NCAA for goals scored among first graders and was one of three in the Ivy League with double-digit goals.

Adams and Pellegrino are the first freshmen in program history to receive NFHCA All-Northeast honors. Brown has placed multiple times in the all-region teams for the first time since 2006 and the ninth time since 1991.

In all, seven bears have received All-Region honors twice in their respective careers. Adams is the ninth bear to earn first team honors and Pellegrino is the 18th bear to earn second team honors.
