Police told WMUR that the shooting occurred less than a mile north of the Massachusetts state line on Route 13, near Townsend Hill Road, just before 6:30 a.m. The victim, a man, was shot in the chest and suffered serious injuries, police told WMUR. Police said the shooter and the victim knew each other. They said the suspected shooter, a man, was driving as he tried to run the victim off the road. The suspect then pulled up next to the victim’s vehicle and fired multiple shots through the passenger-side window, hitting the victim at least once, police said. Police said the shooting appeared to be a domestic violence incident. Police in several communities are looking for the suspect. According to WMUR, police received information that he may be in the Market Basket area of Milford, New Hampshire. The store was evacuated while dumpsters and the surrounding area were searched.
