The search for a missing Massachusetts hiker continues Tuesday in Franconia Notch. Emily Sotelo, 19, of Westford, was dropped off by her mother for a hike at the Lafayette Place campground on Sunday morning and has not been seen since. She planned to climb Mount Lafayette, Mount Haystack, and Mount Flume. Sotelo, who turns 20 on Wednesday, is described as 5ft 3in tall and 115lbs. New Hampshire Fish and Game officials said she was last seen in a tan jacket, sneakers and track pants. Sotelo’s parents told News 9 that Sotelo is an experienced hiker but doesn’t have much winter hiking experience. Search teams on the ground and in the air traversed the area throughout the day on Monday and resumed searching on Tuesday. Officials said anyone with information is asked to call New Hampshire Fish and Game at 603-271-3361.
