Jeanne A Demers

Salem – Jeanne A. Demers, 83, a longtime Methuen resident, died on November 18, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Greystone Farm in Salem, NH. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Al. Jeanne and Al celebrated 52 years of marriage with six children. She was born on July 1, 1939 in Methuen, MA to the late Gerard and Laura (Berube) Lavoie.
Jeanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jeanne’s soulmate was her husband Al and she loved him dearly. Being with her family was what Jeanne loved most. She did not miss an event or a game involving her children and especially her grandchildren. Jeanne loved traveling with Al, especially her trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Yellowstone, the Canadian Rockies and Germany. Loving and enjoying nature was her passion. Many of her children’s memories revolve around nature walks at Massabesic Lake in New Hampshire. Jeanne loved to dance and sing. When a song was played, Jeanne would tap her toe and hum the tune. Jeanne’s happy place was Florida. After retirement, Jeanne and Al enjoyed spending their winters in Florida as “Snow Birds”. Jeanne was predeceased by her loving grandson Aaron and is likely making him pizza at Snack Master while they watch The Price is Right. She loved her “Big Guy”.
Jeanne is survived by daughter Debra and husband Gary Zabierek, son Michael Lawrence and wife Kathleen, son Christopher Lawrence and wife Michelle, daughter Donna and husband David DeLuca, daughter Denise Lawrence, son Dennis Demers, grandchildren Ashley Chester and her husband John, Alyssa Carsanaro and her wife Arianna, Jared Lawrence and his wife Cherilyn, Joshua Lawrence, Ricky DeLuca, Livia Lawrence, Breena Lawrence, their great-grandchildren Mikaela and Johnny Chester, and Aaron A. and Asher Carsanaro . Jeanne is also survived by her sisters Theresa Collier and Louise Poley, and her brothers Rene Lavoie and his wife Jean and Frank Lavoie and his wife Nancy.
In addition to her husband and grandson Aaron K. Zabierek, Jeanne was predeceased by her brother Gerard Lavoie.

Family and friends are invited to the visiting hours on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844. The funeral will take place at the funeral home on Monday at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
