Former House Speaker Paul Ryan said the biggest problem facing Republicans in the midterms is what he calls “the Trump factor.” Ryan appeared on ABC’s This Week, where he said Republicans could have done better in states like Arizona, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire if more traditional Republicans were on the ticket. “The biggest factor was the Trump factor. Just look at how Chris Sununu ran in front of Bolduc in New Hampshire. Look at where Kemp ran in front of Walker in Georgia. Well, I think we definitely would have won the Senate, “If like these governors we had traditional Republicans in the general election. I think we would have won places like Arizona, places like Pennsylvania, New Hampshire if we had a typical and traditional conservative Republican, not a Trump Republican,” Ryan said Ryan also called himself “Never Again Trumper”.
