Senator Hassan recognizes Brookline’s Lauren Caulfield and Ronda Chrystal as November’s Granite Stater of the Month

WASHINGTON – US Senator Maggie Hassan has named Brookline’s Lauren Caulfield and Ronda Chrystal November’s Granite Stater of the Month. The couple founded Pink Revolution to support cancer patients with chemo care packages and financial support.

When Lauren was being treated for breast cancer, she realized that not every patient received the same level of support as she did during this difficult time. After her recovery, she co-founded the Pink Revolution Breast Cancer Alliance of NH with longtime friend Ronda to support patients with all types of cancer.

Lauren and Ronda built a network of volunteers to assemble and ship 1,500 chemo-supply packages annually to 25 oncology centers in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. The grooming packs contain essential items such as blankets, tissues and lip balm. In addition, the nonprofit is raising funds to provide fuel and ration cards to chemo patients, some of whom are struggling with expenses during their treatment.

Senator Hassan launched the Granite Stater of the Month initiative in 2017 to recognize outstanding New Hampshire citizens who do what they can to help their neighbors and strengthen their communities. To nominate a New Hampshire citizen as Granite Stater of the Month, voters may complete the nomination form here.

I’m honored to recognize Brookline’s Lauren Caulfield and Ronda Chrystal as November’s Granite Stater of the Month. The couple founded Pink Revolution to support cancer patients with chemo care packages and financial support.

When Lauren was being treated for breast cancer, she realized that not every patient received the same level of support as she did during this difficult time. Some came to chemotherapy sessions alone or had to skip sessions because they couldn’t afford it. After her recovery, Lauren decided to take action and along with her longtime friend Ronda, she founded the Pink Revolution Breast Cancer Alliance of NH to support patients with all types of cancer.

Lauren and Ronda began reaching out to friends and family affected by cancer and eventually built a network of volunteers to assemble and ship 1,500 chemo care packages annually to 25 oncology centers in New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. The grooming packs contain essential items such as blankets, tissues and lip balm, as well as some personal touch items such as B. Hats knitted by residents in nursing homes. In addition, the nonprofit is raising funds to provide fuel and ration cards to chemo patients, some of whom are struggling with expenses during their treatment.

After undergoing chemotherapy, Lauren decided to find the silver lining in her experience by helping others. With their hard work over the past four years, Lauren and Ronda have made a real difference in the lives of many Granite Staters as they face serious medical difficulties. Lauren and Ronda’s work at the helm of Pink Revolution exemplifies the Granite State’s spirit of generosity, and I commend them and their large network of volunteers.
